The Story of Eclipse

Set in Ancient Greece, Eclipse tells the story of a young, timid man named Aristocles, and his unexpected rise to the throne of Sparta. As Aristocles struggles to arrive at a definitive conclusion of personal identity, we are shown his relationship with two young ladies: Acacia, the only living member of the past royal family, is a gloomy invalid, with whom Aritocles has been taken since a very young age; and Melody, who is the kind, impassioned wife of an active revolutionary opposing the monarchical system. As the story unfolds, we learn more about the essences of these three characters, as they grow to learn these very essences about themselves. Eclipse is a story of love, of dreams, and of the question of fate. Yet through loss, tragedy and uncertainty, the underlying message remains:

"The sun is always shining, you just can't always see it."
