About This Song

This song is a classical (relatively) re-orchestration of Vox Lumiere's "The Hunchback of Notre Dame." Vox Lumiere is an incredibly unique performance group that takes classic silent films, and scores them to modern gothic-rock music, which they perform live alongside a projection of the original film. The music of Vox Lumiere is written by an incomparably brilliant composer named Kevin Saunders Hayes. Kevin was kind enough to help me out with the initial stages of this orchestration -- I hope that this recording will serve as a tribute to his music, although I must confess that my attempts convey only a small percentage of the brilliance that is Vox Lumiere. So, I strongly reccomend you check out the Vox Lumiere website at www.voxlumiere.com, which includes, among other things, several free samples from their albums as they sound with an actual rock band. If you like what you hear, check out Vox Lumiere's newly-grammy-nominated "Hunchback of Notre Dame" on iTunes -- trust me, for you hard rockers out there, this is a must-have!
